Steven M. Goldfarb is the senior trial partner of Goldfarb & Gerzog, having joined the firm in 1985 and taken responsibility for the practice’s diverse litigation and trial case load. The firm specializes in catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and complex litigation matters.
Mr. Goldfarb was born in Bronx, New York and has life long ties to New York and its legal community. His father was a founding partner of Goldfarb & Greenberg, a firm that Steven joined and modernized, which for more than 35 years continues a rich tradition of community service with a reputation as attorneys of integrity, responsibility and trust.
Steven Goldfarb has successfully achieved numerous “life securing” awards for his clients in cases involving medical malpractice, products liability, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, birth damage, traumatic brain injury and other diverse negligence matters. As a seasoned trial attorney, he has achieved successful verdicts in every surrounding New York City County and the New York State Court of Claims. Such successful verdicts include substantial multi-million dollar awards in matters of wrongful death, birth injury and brain damage, failures to diagnose and treat cancer and cardiac conditions, road design and highway construction, and other automobile accident matters.
Mr. Goldfarb is admitted to practice in the bars of the States of New York and New Jersey and is Board of Director Emeritus of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and continues to support the NYSTLA in its fight against tort reform. He has lectured to aspiring trial lawyers. He has spoken to various community associations educating them on personal injury matters and other informative legal issues. As a member of the New York State Judicial Screening Committee he served an integral role of evaluating Supreme Court Judges for judicial positions. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and Trial Advocacy Committee. He attended Tufts University where he attained his undergraduate degree and Magna Cum Laude honors and received his law degree with honors at The George Washington School of Law, in Washington, D.C.
